PIP supports adults with learning disabilities to achieve their potential.
Since 1984 Pursuing Independent Paths (PIP) has been supporting local young adults with learning disabilities and autism to develop the skills and confidence they need to be more independent and achieve their potential.
Each year PIP’s skilled and committed staff and volunteer team engage adults with disabilities in a broad range of education, personal development, social and health activities as well as creative art and drama projects, travel training, recreational trips and holidays. Activities are tailored to groups of adults with variable abilities and include sessions on literacy, numeracy, healthy living, cooking, art, drama, music and work skills.
There is a genuine need for PIP to ensure that adults with learning disabilities do not lose skills and become isolated from their community, but rather continue to thrive, develop and learn throughout their lives.
